Our handchased silver plated trophy L101 was used purchased by a Caribbean-based bank and was awarded as the Sagicor General Super Cup in a local cricket competition. The photograph above shows staff members of the bank admiring the trophy, which was won in October 2004 by Pickwick in a final held at the 3Ws Oval, Cave Hill, St. Michael.
The image to the left shows a lady from the USA who purchased a magnificent handchased silver plated trophy bowl (552) from our Awards Trophies Supplier web site. The trophy was to be used as a Best of Breed award in a local dog show, and was to be named in commemoration of her beloved pet Caj. Her only complaint was that she did not expect the trophy to be quite so large - she assures us that she is a good 5ft 8in tall yet felt dwarfed by the trophy when the photograph was taken! She wrote to us to share her joy at receiving delivery of the trophy: "I am deliriously happy with the trophy and can hardly bear to think of sending it on for its intended purpose." She insisted on wearing white cotton gloves to handle the trophy for the image so as not to get fingerpints on the pristine silver plated finish. Referring both to the gloves and the trophy, she said: "And now of course I feel even more like the Duchess of Kent. Only I don't think that thing she passes out at Wimbledon is nearly so heavy."
Cherie Blair, wife of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, is patron of the annual Crosby Summer Fun Run event in Liverpool. This event, formerly known as the Crosby 10, raises money for causes including the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, and Jospice. It was established in 1983 by the late Peter Callaghan and has been supported from the beginning by former Great Crosby Primary School headteacher Bernie Cullen. The 2005 event was sponsored by local paper the Crosby Herald, which also supplied custom engraved flat glass awards (from our Crystal Awards Supplier web site) for the event. The awards were engraved with the Fun Run logo and details, along with a commemoration to Peter Callaghan, and they were presented to the participants who raised the most money for the 2005 Crosby Summer Fun Run. The awards, along with cheques for the funds raised, were presented by Cherie Blair at a ceremony in November 2005.
When the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce decided to have a fun Members' Day on a local pirate ship - the Seville Krewe - they also looked around for suitable corporate gifts as souvenirs of the event. The Chamber approached Uppermost via our Business Gifts Supplier web site, which stocks a range of classic English pewter tankards along with silver plated tankards and hip flasks. Uppermost supplied a set of tankards engraved with an intricate design that included the Seville Krewe logo along with the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce name and logo. We also supplied traditional English salvers for the event - available on our Awards Trophies Supplier website - which also featured the custom engraved logo design:
